For the past year or so, many of the (nerdy) podcasts I usually listen to and enjoy have made reference to another podcast: 99% Invisible. I think because of the “99%” in the title and its association (in my mind) with the Occupy Movement, I assumed this was a political podcast or an economic podcast.
I’m not averse to either of these, and listen to podcasts such as Decode DC and Planet Money regularly. However, I typically don’t seek them out, and thus, didn’t really investigate. Turns out, though, it’s not about politics or economics, but about design.
And it’s just awesome.
After starting off by listening to the most recent episode, I’m doing what I usually do when I discover a great TV show that I’ve come late to: I’m on a 99% Invisible bender, listening to each of the 90 episodes, one after the next.
